There were definite problems with him, and problems that happened in my mother’s marriage to him, so when I was six years old they split. The divorce was final less than a year later. To this day we’re more like acquaintances. I last spoke with him on the phone for about ten minutes a few weeks ago, and before that last February, which was when I last saw him. There was actually a six year period when I didn’t hear from him or see him at all.

Believe me, each and every day I am not only thankful for a wonderful husband, who is my mate, my life partner, my best friend, but for having such a wonderful father for my daughter. They definitely have the father/daughter relationship I never had, and I am so thankful for what they have.
