Error: The Folder [/home/mamahood/public_html/wp-content/plugins/headlines] is not writeable.Ryan’s first day of preschool
    Posted on September 1, 2010 at 3:04pm
Ryan threw a royal fit on Monday morning when he realized that Alyssa was starting kindergarten and he wasn't, so he was somewhat consoled to be starting preschool yesterday. He is going to the same autistic support preschool and has the same teacher, but he has a different class, different goals ...

I try to jot down or at least tweet the cute things Alyssa and Ryan say, because before I know it they'll be all grown up and not mispronouncing anything (kind of like my fifteen year old brother, whose nickname "Qwee" came from his three year old self who pronounced ...

And by Bean I mean Ryan, whose nickname is Bean. It isn't pea, but it's close! P.S. They've been playing Princess lately. Can you tell? P.P.S. Ryan's special preschool starts up in nine days. I CAN'T WAIT. P.P.P.S. Alyssa starts kindergarten in fifteen days. I CAN'T WAIT.

Ryan turned four on Monday, July 26th, 2010. I've been so busy writing about party favors and designing a site for a document management system and preparing for BlogHer that I didn't get the chance to acknowledge it here, though I did blog about it on jenn.nu. We celebrated his ...

    Posted on July 20, 2010 at 12:31am
As the subject states, this is Ryan's first real drawing. I'm still in awe that he went from creating illegible scribbles to full blown artwork, complete with details such as stems for the apples and orange rays for the yellow sun!

    Posted on July 18, 2010 at 11:46pm
Ryan is currently on his eagerly awaited sleepover. Of course, it's going on midnight, and my mom left with him shortly after 8:30pm, and I had already given him his nightly dose of liquid Melatonin, so I'd like to think that he is long asleep by now. My mom said ...

    Posted on July 12, 2010 at 1:40pm
Last week my mother promised she would take Ryan for a sleepover on Friday night. Well, Friday morning, afternoon and evening came and went, and she never called, emailed, or texted, and she didn't return the two messages I left on her machine. Fortunately, Ryan forgot all about the sleepover, ...

Ryan was supposed to go to my mother's house for a sleepover last night. My mother promised him last weekend, when she was here getting Alyssa for what would turn into a four night sleepover. Well, Friday came and went, and my mother never came for Ryan, never called, ...

    Posted on July 6, 2010 at 1:02am
This year seems to be the year of parties. Dan had a birthday party, I had a birthday party, my brother-in-law had a birthday party, my brother had a birthday party, and now Ryan's birthday party is just a few weeks away. A birthday party theme catalog arrived in the ...

Today Alyssa and Ryan went swimming. We went to another pool in our area that we have never been to before; this one has more lifeguards on staff and is stricter in terms of what is and isn't allowed in the pool. Among other things, there is absolutely no swimming ...
